This original botanical watercolor painting depicts blackcurrants from a Lithuanian garden, carefully observed and rendered with hyper-detailed precision. The composition balances natural vitality with scientific clarity, highlighting the tension between ripeness, structure, and organic rhythm.
The work was created in 2025 using professional archival watercolor pigments on fine art paper. Although based on photographic reference, the painting process required approximately 20 hours of layered, meticulous work to achieve depth, tonal subtlety, and botanical accuracy.
